12:00-8:00pm

2008 Challenge Invitational (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Olympic Training Center, Sports Center I, Colorado Springs, CO

This was Danielle’s first experience with altitude.  She did well for the first half of her floor routine, then ran out of stamina.  She had no energy for her rope routine, recovered for the first half of her ribbon routine, then was too tired to do her hoop routine well.  This was good experience for her.  She now understands the reason for conditioning.

Completed

2008 Festival of Hearts (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Arlington Girls and Boys Club, 18513 39th Ave NE, Arlington, WA.

Completed

A brand new cycle has started. All levels have been redefined and new requirements set. Danielle competes in the Level 6 Child A Division this season which is the approximate equivalent of the previous L7-8. She started off this season missing 4 months of work during the summer and it showed. She needs quite a bit more work to become competitive this season.

11:35am

Perfect Balance Invitational (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Westside Training Center, 9896 SW Industrial Park, Tigard, OR

12:30pm

Split Leap Invitational (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Westside Training Center, 9896 SW Industrial Park, Tigard, OR

Completed

Danielle was still recovering from the cold/flu. She did fairly well considering all things. She scored 8.0 on floor, 6.3 on rope, 6.1 on hoop and 7.3 on clubs for a 27.7 all-around. This translated to 1st in floor, 2nd in rope, 4th in hoop and 1st in clubs for a 1st all-around in her division.

February 20, 2005 (Sunday)

7:30am-8:30pm

Festival of Hearts (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Arlington Boys & Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave NE, Arlington, WA

Completed

Danielle did fairly well at this meet in spite of catching the cold/flu the day before. She started with a great Floor routine (8.6 first place), mediocre Rope (6.4 for 4th), good Hoop (7.5 tie for 2nd), and a miscued Clubs (5.35 for 5th) for an all-around 27.85 (3rd).

January 21-23, 2005 (Fri-Sun)

Friday 10:00am

LA Lights Invitational (Rhythmic Gymnastics Meet), Veterans Memorial Auditorium, Culver City, California.

Completed

Danielle competed in the CHILD division which was not split according to the new age divisions.  This meant that she competed with gymnasts 9 through 12 years of age. Danielle started with her Floor routine and scored a respectable 7.6 for a 2nd place. She then had a poor rope routine (6.1).  In the hoop routine, she started off well, but had a disastrous loss of hoop near the end from which she could not recover. She scored 5.6 which ruined her chances for an all-around award. She ended with a 6.7 in clubs which was 6th place. Overall she performed creditably and with a little more work should put her in the running for State and Regional awards.
